Tips on Working with Crystals:
My fourth crystal lore flash card! Amethyst was believed to ward off intoxication during festivities and amethyst goblets have been used since antiquity. This clearly links amethyst with the concept of clear thinking and therefore it is well suited as a meditation aid. It is one of the three Healing Trinity stones (along with Rose Quartz and Clear Quartz) and a must for any crystal healer’s toolkit.
I have here another printable (customise to any size you like) information sheet regarding the seer known as Amethyst. The information sheet contains its chemical constituents, its natural colour range as well as some authentication tests. I explain how it is formed through the workings of the earth and the main source locations. Amethyst links to developing intuition as a life skill – it is associated with the third eye chakra and psychic abilities. Amethyst combines easily with any other crystal to aid by clarifying the intentions for which the crystals are used.
Tip: Limit the exposure of your Amethyst crystals to light as it will fade over time, since the iron impurities that lend amethyst its colour becomes altered (the Fe(4+) ion reverts to Fe(3+))!
I have two downloadable files here for personal and non-commercial use (click links blow). You can use the cards for readings, but the production of them as a deck or individual cards for selling is not permitted. Print out & enjoy! There are more crystal flash cards to come!
